spooky halloween
to be honest, we didn’t have any set plans for halloween, but we knew we wanted to visit pacific beach. so after class i went to my friend’s apartment on campus and i got ready there. my friend had brought my bag there as well earlier, so i didn’t have to carry anything on the long trek there. it took a lot longer to get ready than we thought. we started getting ready at around 6:45, and didn’t finish getting ready until almost 9:00pm. from marshall, we had to wait for the bus (we had just missed it, we have terrible luck) and then we took the trolley to nobel to get to the car. from there, we went to pb and it took quite a long time to find free street parking.
luckily, we ended up finding parking, although it was quite a long walk from all the clubs and bars. the lines to get into all the bars were so long! after one try, we gave up upon hearing one of the shorter lines would take at least two hours and the bar looked entirely full. instead, we walked along the streets and chatted with stranger trying to guess each other’s costumes, which was pretty fun.
we ended up getting pizza at this one place, although i think the last italian place we went to was a lot better (i don’t remember the name, but it might have been close to the baked bear). the food was good nonetheless! afterwards, one of my friends wanted a sweet treat, so her and our other friends got baked bear. personally, not a fan… i don’t like their cookies or their ice cream flavors… i felt left out so i ended up getting ice cream at handel’s a little further down the street. i got coffee chocolate chip with a chocolate dipped ice cream cone, which was pretty good! the guy who gave me my ice cream stacked it, so i had what looked like 4 scoops, which was so crazy. i was full at the end of the night. we ended up going home after, upon which i got home at 1am, slept at 2am, and had to wake up at 8:30am to get to work the next day…
